Patti Johnston’s lifelong love affair with design began as a girl in a fabric shop in the heart of the American south. Inspired by colors and textures as she purchased inventory for her family’s business, and adept at transforming the fabrics into her own creations, Patti developed an intimate understanding of the interplay of color, texture, and form that shapes her current designs.
Patti Johnston Designs is the culmination of Patti’s years of experience designing for clients both domestically and internationally. Living in many of this country’s richly historical regions and extensive travel have allowed Patti to incorporate unique perspectives into her clean and classic personal style. She understands the variety of styles available to a designer and can seamlessly incorporate clients’ diverse needs and visions in her design.
Before launching Patti Johnston Designs, Patti designed for an award winning metropolitan area interior designer and for F. Schumacher & Co. Patti’s clients appreciate her intuitive design sensibilities and her signature use of saturated colors paired with cool neutrals. Patti’s rooms strike the perfect balance between aesthetic and function—they are as warm, inviting, and livable as they are artistic and beautiful.
